Location

This year's location is the Crowne Plaza Clayton.

About the hotel:

The recently renovated Crowne Plaza Clayton is a beautiful older hotel with three different towers housing over 250 rooms. It features old-fashioned ballrooms with chandeliers and meeting rooms with stained-glass windows!

Convention Room Rate: $89 per night for a one queen bed standard room, $99 for a one king bed standard room, $109 for two double beds standard room. These are AWESOME rates considering the Crowne Plaza is usually a $189 a night hotel for standard rooms, AND the rooms come with cool free amenities like relaxation CDs, plush bathrobes, wireless internet, high-def flat-screen TVs, eye masks, lavender spray, and access to the free arcade!

Parking: Parking for Thursday is $4 per day at the hotel, but it's FREE the rest of the weekend! That goes for most other parking lots and garages in Clayton as well!

Restaurant: Plaza Grill and Bar, which offers Applebee's-type prices on your usual bar and grill fare. It also has giant plasma HDTVs and a funky Austin Powers-esque look.

Address: 7750 Carondelet Ave. Clayton, MO 63105

About the area:

Clayton is St. Louis' upscale financial district. The hotel is nestled among Fortune 500 companies and skyscrapers far removed from the congested downtown. Down the road is the Ritz-Carlton, where congoers of means can stay in luxury, but don't discount the Crowne Plaza just yet! They provide tons of amenities, including an indoor pool, free high-speed Internet, various sleep and bath amenities, and a coinless arcade.

A listing of restaurants and places of interest in the area is coming soon.

Directions:

With I-64/40 closed in some parts of St. Louis, it may be confusing getting to Clayton from the north or west.

If coming into St. Louis on 70/40/64 from the east, you can continue into the city on 64/40 and get off at the Hanley Rd. exit. Go north on Hanley Rd. to Carondelet, and turn left on Carondelet.

If coming into St. Louis on 64/40 or 70 from the west (or the north), take 70E to I-170 (to get to 70 from 64/40, go north on 270 up to 70E). Get off of 170 at the Forest Park Parkway exit and take the Central Ave. exit. Turn right at S. Central Ave., which will take you into Clayton. Turn right at Carondelet.

If coming into St. Louis on 55 from the south, follow directions from MapQuest or Google Maps. Remember that Laclede Station and Hanley are the same road, so when it tells you to "continue on S. Hanley Rd.", you are on the same road.
